HazardCue Terms of Service

Welcome to HazardCue, LLC (“HazardCue”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the HazardCue weather consulting services (the “Service”). By subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Overview

HazardCue provides subscription-based, personalized weather consulting services tailored to the needs of property owners. Your subscription may include:

  • Daily email briefings with property-specific weather insights

  • Occasional weekend updates when high-impact weather is expected

  • Information about high-impact weather conditions in the daily briefing

  • Post-event analysis to help assess property impacts

    • This can be requested, but analyses will be sent if any of your properties were affected enough to warrant a report.

  • Direct email access to your assigned meteorologist

  • Scalable support based on the number of properties enrolled

HazardCue is not an emergency alert system. For life-threatening weather or urgent warnings, always refer to the National Weather Service (NWS) and local emergency officials.

2. Eligibility

Subscribers must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to manage or represent the properties listed under the subscription. Subscribers must also be within the United States and have all subscribed properties be within the Continental United States.

3. Subscription and Payment

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly, in advance.

  • All payments are handled securely via Squarespace.

  • You may upgrade or cancel your subscription at any time. Changes will take effect immediately, and your email service should be altered within two business days. If service has not been altered, please email evan@hazardcue.com.

  • No refunds will be issued for partial months.

  • Upgrades or downgrades will use a prorated pricing system.

  • It may take up to 2 business days for all of your information to be put in our system after subscribing.

4. Service Delivery

HazardCue provides automated daily forecasts for each property in your subscription, including weekends. These updates are generated using a custom-built system developed in-house and tailored to your specific locations.

Additional updates may be issued when hazardous weather is forecast, and you may receive follow-up insights after impactful events. While most briefings are automated, human support is available as needed.

5. Availability and Office Hours

While service is provided regularly during weekdays, HazardCue is a small operation and not a 24/7 weather desk. There may be brief periods when your forecaster is out of the office (e.g., illness, travel). In such cases, a notification will be sent in advance when possible. Your understanding is appreciated, and every effort will be made to minimize disruptions.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • You agree to provide accurate property addresses and notify HazardCue of any changes.

  • Subscription content is intended solely for your internal use. Unauthorized redistribution, reposting, or sharing of forecasts or reports is not permitted.

  • You agree to the Conflict of Interest policy outlined in Section 7.

  • Payment

  • You agree to pay the monthly subscription costs based on your monthly subscription price.

  • You agree that your payment is originating within the United States.

  • You agree that your addresses served by HazardCue are within the Continental United States.

  • You agree that if your payment can no longer be made within the United States after subscribing you will immediately unsubscribe from HazardCue LLC’s services and email evan@hazardcue.com to inform HazardCue of this change.

7. Conflict of Interest: University of Oklahoma

HazardCue LLC operates independently and is not affiliated with the University of Oklahoma (OU). You may not enter into a business relationship with HazardCue if you are actively engaged in a business or research relationship with OU.

If you enter into such a relationship after subscribing to HazardCue, you are required to notify us immediately. Failure to do so will result in termination of service without refund.

8. Limitations and Disclaimers

HazardCue LLC provides forecast-based consulting services and does not issue official weather warnings.

  • You must rely on the National Weather Service (NWS) and local emergency services for life safety guidance and emergency alerts.

  • While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, forecasts are inherently uncertain. HazardCue is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages, financial losses, or disruptions resulting from reliance on weather forecasts, including errors, omissions, or timing issues.

HazardCue LLC can only accept payment from within the United States of America. We do not accept international payments.

HazardCue LLC is equipped to serve clients only within the Continental United States. This means we do not serve clients in Alaska, Hawaii, or any U.S. territories.

9. Communication

Subscribers may contact their assigned meteorologist via email. While most inquiries will receive a response within one business day, response times may vary during periods of limited availability. Weekend communication is limited unless hazardous weather is expected.

10. Use of AI-Generated Content

To help deliver clear, timely, and personalized updates, HazardCue may use artificial intelligence services, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT, to generate portions of daily briefings, summaries, and other communications. These tools are used to enhance clarity, consistency, and customization based on official weather data and risk assessments. AI is not used to generate forecasts themselves; it serves only as an enhancement to the larger forecasting system developed by HazardCue.

By subscribing to HazardCue, you consent to the use of AI-enhanced content in communications unless you notify us otherwise. Information shared with OpenAI is strictly limited to your name, property addresses, and stated hazard preferences. Sensitive personal data (such as billing information, email addresses, and phone numbers) is never shared.

If you prefer to opt out of AI-generated content, please email evan@hazardcue.com and we will gladly accommodate your request. Please note that doing so may reduce the clarity or personalization of your HazardCue experience.

11. Intellectual Property

All content produced by HazardCue, including forecasts, analyses, graphics, and summaries, is the intellectual property of HazardCue, LLC. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of this content without written permission is strictly prohibited.

12. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. HazardCue reserves the right to suspend or terminate services due to non-payment, misuse of content, conflicts of interest, or violations of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

HazardCue may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email.
